Tucker Lott
In 2019, local business owner Tucker Lott hosted and personally funded a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony in Kansas City’s historic 18th and Vine jazz district.
His goal was simple: to bring joy to underprivileged families during the holidays. What began as a one-time event soon evolved into an annual tradition featuring food, clothing and toy giveaways, spreading hope and cheer throughout the community.
Inspired by the event’s success, Tucker founded The Soul of Santa “Do Good” Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uplifting underserved communities year-round and fostering a stronger, more inclusive society. The foundation focuses primarily on supporting individuals with disabilities, working to provide access to resources that empower them to lead fulfilling lives — a mission inspired by Tucker’s daughter, Aria.
Aria Lott lived with lifelong epilepsy, a condition that worsened as she grew older. Despite her challenges, she pursued a career as a chiropractor, specializing in helping children with special needs. However, her health and financial burdens eventually forced her to pause her work and return home to rely on her family for basic needs.
Through Aria’s experiences, Tucker gained a firsthand understanding of the struggles faced by individuals with disabilities and limited resources. He was moved by their resilience and determination to build better lives for themselves and their families.
Motivated by these stories, Tucker made it his mission to create lasting change in his community — all in his bright red suit.
The Soul of Santa Foundation now offers various programs aimed at supporting high-functioning individuals with disabilities from disadvantaged families, connecting both them and their families to essential resources and supportive services throughout the region.
