KC Streetcar Crawl

Get to know downtown KC with this ultimate guide to stops along the streetcar route.
Picture this...

It’s a beautiful, sunny Saturday in KC Heartland. You and a couple pals are ready for a day out on the town. Luckily, you have the oh-so-handy KC Streetcar to navigate all of the downtown area - easy-peasy! The KC Streetcar is free to ride and stretches 2.2 miles from the River Market to Union Station. Plus, the line is in the process of expanding another 4+ miles south toward the Country Club Plaza - due for completion by 2025.

Check out our ultimate KC Streetcar Crawl:

Wake Up with River Market
Delight in a spectacular brunch at one of the area’s top spots - we’re big fans of The Farmhouse and Brown & Loe. After, you can stroll to City Market, a booming farmers market and KC’s oldest continuously-operating business. There you can browse everything from fresh produce to hand-crafted gifts and apparel, sample cuisine from around the world and pick up a beautiful bouquet from one of the 140 local vendors.

Nerd Out at the Library
Hop on the Streetcar from any of the three stops in River Market and head south to Library at 9th & Main. At this stop, you’ll find one of KC’s iconic landmarks - the bookend parking garage structure - as well as an ultimate rooftop hangout at the Central Library.

Need a caffeine boost? Banksia and Spokes Cafe have locations in the area.

Get Active at Power & Light
A couple of stops down, you’ll land at the Power & Light District. What better to do on this action packed day than go axe throwing at Blade & Timber, putt-putt with a cocktail at Sinkers Lounge or get on the court at the College Basketball Experience? This can count as your exercise for the day. 😉

Feeling low-key? Check out B&B Theatres Mainstreet or have a blissful hang-out in PNC Plaza by the fountains.

Kick-it in the Crossroads
Hop off at 19th & Main to grab a beer at one of eight breweries within a half-mile radius - duly named Brewer’s Alley or take a tour through Art Alley to check out some insane graffiti walls. Discover new wardrobe staples at Do Good Co, Raygun, Daisy Lee Vintage and Dear Society

Looking for good eats? Some of our favorite spots to grab a bite include Extra Virgin, Mission Taco Joint and Parlor

Last Stop! Union Station
Snap a selfie at KC’s historic Union Station and then head to the top of the Liberty Memorial observation deck to get the ultimate skyline shot - bonus if it’s at sunset.

Nightlife to Visit on Your Way Back Down
